Holloway_4Ian Holloway has been venting his spleen on the virtues of bringing back national service after one of his young players injured himself by kicking an advertising hoarding. General Holloway, of the Plymouth Argyle regiment, said full-back Paul Connolly needed the discipline instilled by military service.

He said: "I understand Paul is a young fella and that sometimes we all feel like losing our self-control in frustration. Personally, I think that it is a society problem, as well as I believe that our youngsters could do with a good dose of discipline. I always regret that national service is still not in operation as young people would benefit from it – I know I would have done in my teenage years."
