Newcastle United are set to revive a Premiership Horror Hair classic by re-signing former player Pavel Srnicek. The Czech goalkeeper is training with the Magpies with a view to signing a three-month deal as cover for Steve Harper while Shay Given is injured.
Srnicek left the club in 1998 after Given’s arrival. He had been number one for a time after battling Shaka Hislop to become Kevin Keegan’s first choice. I have not seen any recent pictures of Srnicek, but hopefully he will still be sporting his Charlie Sheen meets Paul McCartney fluffy masterpiece.
