Everton’s
Andy Johnson has pulled out of the England squad for the upcoming
Euro 2008 qualifying matches against Macedonia and Croatia. The 25-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in the last minute of
Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Man City. A great shame for England, ’cause he’s in fine form right now.

Charlton’s Darren Bent will replace Johnson in the squad.

England play mighty Macedonia on Saturday, and crafty Croatia on 11 October.
