larkswoodspark_sm.jpgThe council for the area David Beckham grew up in has a tourist route to show visitors various Beckham-related ‘landmarks’. Waltham Forest Council created the David Beckham Trail, which takes in sites as impressive as the hospital in which Becks was born, his old schools and Walthamstow greyhound stadium where the young Beckham worked as a glass collector.
The tour also includes the park where the former England skipper practiced his free kicks (pictured!) and a duck pond where he once went on cub camp. The guide is available on the council’s website with both Spanish and Japanese translations. Asked by FourFourTwo whether he fancied going round the trail, Beckham said: “When I’m in England, maybe, if I have time. I suppose it could be quite interesting and I’m sure I’ll remember all the places.”
