CHARLTON ATHLETIC:
Currently in 19th place on 33 points with a -24 goal difference.
Remaining fixtures: Tottenham (h), Liverpool (a)
The Addicks are screwed. Spurs and Liverpool is one tough run-in. I can only see them getting three points at most from those two games (a home win against Spurs is entirely possible), which still won’t be enough to stay up.
Prediction: 34 points, relegated in 19th place

WEST HAM:
Currently in 18th place on 35 points with a -27 goal difference
Remaining fixtures: Bolton (h), Man Utd (a)
I can see West Ham beating Bolton and even getting something at Old Trafford – but only if the title has been decided by then. Alan Curbishley will be desperate for Man U to wrap up the league by the time they go up there – then the Hammers have a real shot at survival.
Prediction: 38 points, survive in 17th place
WIGAN:
Currently in 17th place on 35 points with a -22 goal difference
Remaining fixtures: Middlesbrough (h), Sheffield Utd (a)
Wigan’s goal difference gives them a distinct advantage over West Ham, plus they should be able to make it to 38 points, probably with a win against Boro at the JJB. They are in lousy form though, but not as lousy as our next contenders…
Prediction: 38 points, survive in 16th place
FULHAM:
Currently in 16th place on 36 points with a -21 goal difference
Remaining fixtures: Liverpool (h), Middlesbrough (a)
Fulham have forgotten how to win and at the worst time. At the 11th hour, Lawrie Sanchez has taken his place on board a sinking ship. Liverpool will beat Fulham at Craven Cottage and I can’t see them getting more than a point at the Riverside.
Prediction: 37 points, relegated in 18th place

only if my hammers had been playing this way a few months ago. we wouldnt be even close to where we are now but tevez has been playing inspired football and i think hes the key to all west ham success. zomora may be the goal scorer but tevez ties the opposition in knots. Come on you Hammers!

West Ham and Charlton. Hammers will get sod all at Old Trafford, which means they have to beat Bolton, who will have ‘new manager syndrome’. To be honest, West Ham deserve to go down. If they stay up it makes a mockery of the league considering they’ve been playing an illegal player for half the season.

they got their fine and everyone should move on, if it was chelski everything would have just been swept under the rug or they would have just said “shame on you, you poor little rich team”.
it would be a shame if west ham goes down, they have some of the best supporters around and have such a great little song. but what if they would have had deano…

Right on lad, John Obi Mikel anyone? As if any club the size of WHU would deny two world class players for such a stupid reason… Hope you stay up, as long as it’s not at Fulham’s cost

I’m gonna go with Charlton and Fulham. I think replacing Chris Coleman at that stage was stupid. The football has been bad but I don’t see how bringing in a new manager who has very little time to make a difference to the squad is the answer.
I like Curbishley and think he’s got the talent and the cleverness to pull off the escape. I think Wigan have the capability to grab a win and survive.
Charlton I think will go. It just seems to be against them this year, the result at Everton was an omen I think. Plus I just don’t like Alan Pardew.

    Joe,
Thats exactly who i was referring to, i was hoping someone would pick up on that, nice work!
I want fulham to stay up but it may be a blessing in disguise for all the yanks, that way they will be playing first team football every week and making some impressions.
As for the Hammers, Keep up the Great Escape!

Relegate Fulham, a nothing club with 2 fans now the rapper Mohamed’s money has dried up they will finally get relegated.
serve them right for sacking their manager 4 games from the end of the season and beiing rubbish and some how staying in the prem for so long by more teams worse than them getting promoted from the championship. bout time they went back down to where they belong in League 2
