57186254.jpgApparently, Kieron Dyer’s likely move away from Newcastle hasn’t got anything to do with a better contract or his testing relationship with the fans – it’s about ‘family problems’.
Newcastle manager, Sam Allardyce, sat down with the troubled midfielder and found that his mardy face wasn’t just down to a series of injuries, pitch fights or being forced to play out of position.
“At the moment, there’s a problem from a family point of view and we have to try to see whether we can resolve that, and if we cannot, then that may well result in Kieron looking to leave the club for that reason and that reason alone,” said Allardyce.
Now, we all hope that there’s nothing seriously wrong, but we can’t help thinking that the old ‘family problems’ line is usually rolled out as an excuse that avoids too many questions. Whadyareckon?
