72140476.jpgYet more rumours abound about the future of Liverpool‘s Scott Carson, as he appears to be making his way to Aston Villa on loan for the new season. The ‘Pool sent the England U21 ‘keeper on loan to Charlton last season which saw him applauded for his performances in sticks. Now, in the quest for first team football, and with an eye on breaking into the senior team for England, Carson is off to Villa.
With Pepe Reina keeping Carson from breaking into the Liverpool starting XI, one must ask if Rafa is mental for keeping Carson as a fringe player. Carson is clearly going to make a decent impact on the Premier League and hopefully, will push Paul Robinson for his place in the national side. Of course, Benitez may be thinking that Carson is one for the future, and thus, all the Prem’ experience he’s getting will only serve to make him a better shot stopper in a couple of years. However, will Carson be getting pissed off with being shunted around? Will he want to make a switch to somewhere else? What are your thoughts Pieheads? 1. Andy says:

Fair play to him. Quality goalkeeper and he wants to play. Could have easily sat on the bench most of the season and picked up his pay cheque.

  2. Brian says:

Both David Martin and Nikolay Mihaylov played exceptionally well during the preseason and will provide plenty of coverage for the EPL’s two-time Golden Gloves winner, Pepe Reina.
Why do you guys even bother? You don’t know shit about Liverpool and the only reason you write anything about them is too slag off of them and give your sophomoric readers a laugh.

  3. Nick says:

    He’s already better than Robinson.

  4. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

Sorry Brian, I can’t really take anyone who refers to the Premier League as the ‘EPL’ seriously. Stick to baseball and gridiron mate.

  5. Popps says:

Liverpool are silly for doing this. Carson will fit in well at Villa and be huge .
