The off-season must be dull if the media is reduced to claiming this was some sort of riot. This was a lame incident - lots of posturing, lots of shouting, not much more. Yes, it made West Ham fans look like dicks, but that's nothing new.

The Guardian asks today, "Has football hooliganism arrived in the US?"

No, not yet anyway. Football hooligans have arrived in the US before, but they always get the plane back to England.
