Robin Van Persie Struggles With Gary Caldwell’s Simple Handshake Request (Video)

By Chris Wright

In which Robin van Persie makes an awful hash of Wigan captain Gary Caldwell’s handshake offer after last night’s game at the Emirates…

http://youtu.be/WjpLhpQ2IXo

Apparently Van Persie was cheesed off with Caldwell’s super stealth time-wasting techniques (RVP really don’t like time-wasting, just ask Tim Krul) though that doesn’t make the video look any less like watching two dozy giraffes attempting to mate.

RvP is such a sore loser it is untrue. I bet he would love to be Wenger for once, who has probably denied witnessing Wigan’s two goals and is claiming a one goal victory for the Gunners.

  2. SS says:

Van Persie keeps annoying me more and more by the match. Ever since his goal scoring spree and sudden emergence as a “top player in the world,” he has developed this holier than thou attitude and cockiness. Whenever a defender remotely tries to play aggressive on him or something doesn’t go his way, he does his little finger pointing, puffed out chest act and squares off against the opponent. Just ask Krul and Ivanovic (to say the least). Honestly, he would get snapped like a twig if he tried that shit outside the football pitch.

I watched the match and saw the incident between Caldwell and Van Persie. Caldwell was simply trying to usher the ball back to Al-Habsi. Van Persie being the cunt he is pushed Caldwell from the back and he almost trips over his goal keeper. They then exchange a few choice words. Caldwell brushes it off and tries to be the better man by offering a hand. Van Persie is a dick for refusing it. I get that he lost the match but act like a man, act like a captain. What a pussy. I would love to sock that cunt in the face.

  3. StokeDave says:

    Typical Arsenal.

  4. Grug says:

@SS If you had actually paid any attention, you would have noticed that Van Persie is Dutch.

  5. Redskywalker says:

    Looooooserrrrr! :P

  6. Gaz says:

Van Persie is left footed so probably left handed, so offering his left hand does seem natural.
Think Caldwell is making someyhing out of nothing

  7. alejandro22 says:

rvp isnt fit to be captain

  8. Junior11 says:

@Grug You are a fucking racist!!!

  9. Sjakie Meulemans says:

“…left footed so propably left handed”

You’ve got to be kidding me.

  10. Sjakie Meulemans says:

    probably*

  11. Mr. Sparkle says:

@Junior, The Dutch aren’t technically a race but I agree. Ignorant in the least.

Besides, RVP is just a petty blithering baboon and an idiot; it has nothing to do with him being Dutch.

  12. Wesley says:

Seriously, what has this to do with him being Dutch. He is not Dutch, he is an overpaid footballer. Some can handle it, some can’t. I’m from The Netherlands, and I don;t want RVP in de first 11 this summer. He thinks he’s a big shot, while he performs crap in the national team. Wesley Sneijder is another example of an arrogant player. But look at other guys, like Vorm, Krul, Van der Vaart and Heitinga. They’re Dutch, they play in the Premier League, but they are nothing like RVP.

  13. Amire says:

Wenger is absolute crap at finding a decent captain. Ever since Vieira left, his captains have been shit. Just look at Gallas and now this clown. Strip his armband and give it to a real man like Vermalen.

  14. MarquetteJer says:

    Worst handshake since Suarez-Evra 2012

  15. Solihull United says:

THIS JUST IN: DESPITE POPULAR BELIEF, THE SUN ACTUALLY DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND RVP!

  16. Foran44 says:

    @Amire: Eh, Fabregas?!……Lovely player

  17. Steve says:

Just like they did with Inter rejects Seedorf and Pirlo, AC Milan will make Arsenal regret they ever sold him to them. Mark my words.

  18. Dickie says:

If you watch he actually offers his hand and then Caldwell removes his swiftly. He’s goading him. That’s why RVP is getting annoyed cause Caldwell doesn’t want a handshake, he wants to create some drama. Watch it carefully.

  19. Johnny says:

    Eh…maybe he was aiming for a high-five…

  20. Amire says:

@Foran44: Fabregas was given captain solely based on the fact that he was their best player and that time after the pitiful Gallas. You are right a lovely player but not captain material. Not very commanding and constant bitching to the media about Arsenal. It didn’t help that he was constantly injured and his heart was set on going to Barcelona. Sometimes it looked like he didn’t give a shit. Maybe if Kolo Toure was given captaincy he might have stayed. Who knows.

  21. MarcosR says:

@Johnny: Re-watch the video again you daft prick!!!

  22. goonerdan says:

Robin offered his hand.. If you think he’s being a pre maddonna etc you know fuck all about football. Gary Caldwell has always been an asshole, he was tryna rub it in

  23. kayla says:

Jeez people what is with all the HATE for Robin? He clearly makes an attempt to shake his hand but Caldwell is actually the one who refuses and proceeds to make a big deal out of it.
