The Ice Man(‘s statue) cometh…

Sadly, it seems Andy O’Brien won’t be part of the finished statue. Damn shame.

Is it just us or does the Bergkamp statue look a bit silly? They’ve used Jens Lehmann’s face for starters, the pose seems a tad on the cartoonish side (it hardly encapsulates a man who spent very little of his time in the air!) and he appears to be playing with a Super Tele penny floater ball too.

Any road up, Bergkamp is certainly deserving of a tribute outside the Emirates so who are we to quibble.
