Snapshot: Arsenal And Coventry Use Mobile Phones To Help Illuminate Pitch After Lights Go Out At Emirates

By Alan Duffy

In the first-half of Arsenal’s 4-0 FA Cup victory over Coventry, an apparent power-surge knocked out lots of the Emirates’ floodlights, leaving fans of both clubs to use their mobile phones (the modern day cigarette lighter) to help illuminate the ground. And what a lovely sight it made. Many folk on Twitter likened it to the crowd at a Coldplay concert. Make of that what you want!
