Arsenal 5-0 Porto (6-2 on aggregate), Champions League

In short, this couldn’t have gone any better for Arsenal. Unless it was 6-0 or 7-0, but this is the knockout stages of the Champions League, not the fourth round of the League Cup, so best not be greedy.

Arsenal were at their rampant best in destroying a frankly feeble Porto side last night, with big Danish clown Bendy scoring three – he’s not shit after all! – and the other two coming from Samir Nasri (a brilliant solo effort) and the surprisingly  in-form Emmanuel Eboue.

Andrey Arshavin didn’t get on the scoresheet but he was immense too (he and Bendtner looked brilliant together), whilst Nasri’s fine display meant that Cesc Fabregas wasn’t missed at all. Barcelona, take Cesc now, apparently the Gunners don’t need him…

Incidentally, there were hat-tricks by Bent and Bendtner on the same night – what are the chances (groans)?
