Hull City 0-3 Arsenal – Premier League – 20th April 2014
Arsenal kept hold of that precious Champions League spot courtesy of a fine win at the KC Stadium. Hull gave as good as they got in the first period but were undone by two superb Arsenal moves, with the outstanding Aaron Ramsey and then Lukas Podolski putting the Gunners 2-0 up at the break.
Along with the fit again again Ramsey, Arsene Wenger started with Mesut Ozil and those two raised the Gunners’ game, with a Ramsey shot in the second-half allowing Podolski to net his second of the match after Steve Harper’s parry.
A fine win for the Gunners which sees them stay a point clear of fifth-placed Everton. Hull are now six points clear of danger and should survive for another season at least.
