As someone who worked with The Justin Campaign and then the Football v Homophobia campaign years ago, it’s heartening to see football finally taking the issues of homophobia, biophobia and transphobia seriously.
The “Rainbow Laces” campaign is back again this year courtesy of Stonewall and Paddy Power, with players wearing the multi-coloured laces in their matches on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of September.
Getting into the spirit of this positive message, Arsenal players star in this very charming and clever promo for the cause., with Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all taking part. Giroud’s posing is particularly amusing. Nice work.
