As Sky Sports’ Premier League preview show rumbled on last night, the chatter inevitably came around to Arsenal’s 2015/16 title credentials.
As was to be expected, the pundits began waffling on about Arsenal’s distinct lack of options up front as they venture into the season with just Olivier Giroud as the only recognised senior striker at the manager’s disposal.
Suddenly, quite out of the blue, Graeme Souness farted into life and sprang upon Thierry Henry the suggestion that Theo Walcott could be deployed as Arsenal’s main striker.
Quite understandably, as anybody would when faced with such a futile proposition, Henry appeared to slip into a catatonic state of deep despair…
