After finally rediscovering his best, scheming form with Arsenal this season, assist-wizard Mesut Özil has risen to God-like status among fans of the Gunners. One Egyptian footballer, Ahmed Nabil Manga, who presumably is a fan of the north Londoners, has (along with his wife of course!) paid the German playmaker the ultimate compliment by naming his new son after him.

The 24-year-old currently plies his trade with Egyptian Premier League side Smouha SC where he plays as a right-back, but rather than name his new child Bellerin, he opted for the rather more glamorous Özil …

This certainly is turning out to be Mr. Özil’s season, isn’t it? And what a comic chap Manga is, eh!
