Arsenal got back to winning ways on Sunday by comfortably beating Crystal Palace at the Emirates.

The highlight of the game was undoubtedly Olivier Giroud’s magnificent opener, which is a definite contender for Goal of the Season.

After producing a clever flick at the start of the move deep in his own half, Giroud raced forward and eventually got on the end of an Alexis Sanchez cross.

With the ball played a bit behind him, Giroud still managed to pull off the most incredible of scorpion kicks, with the ball going in off the crossbar…

We’re not sure we’ll see a better goal this season! Coming only a few days after Henrik Mkhitaryan’s scorpion-kick for Manchester United against Sunderland, we reckon Giroud’s stunner was even better than the Armenian’s effort.

Arsenal would go on to win the clash with Sam Allardyce’s rather tame Eagles by two goals to nil, with Alex Iwobi scoring in the second-half.

The win sees the Gunners go back above Spurs into third place, nine points off leaders Chelsea. Palace, on the other hand, stay just one place and two points above the drop-zone.

Even better than that goal from Mkhitaryan. I never thought Giroud could do that. Fantastic.
