After Bayern Munich’s 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday night, the club’s social media team were at it again, trolling Arsenal with yet another cheeky Tweet.

Arturo Vidal’s second of the game made it 5-1 to Bayern on the night and a whopping 10-2 on aggregate. Cue a Tweet which is sure to annoy the Gunners…

Bayern have previous when it comes to having a cheeky dig at the Gunners on Twitter but we’re not sure Arsenal fans will see the funny side of this one after such a painful defeat.

If and when Arsenal ever play Bayern again, the Gunners’ manager (whoever that may be) should pin that Tweet up on the dressing room wall (it just might instill some fight in the team for once).

As for football clubs’ ‘hilarious’ ‘bantering’ on social media – I say we ban it right now!

re: banter, there is a lot of poor ‘banter’ but Bayern’s is clearly very lighthearted and completely without malice. The FA Cup draw tweet was amusing.

re: the match, has a team ever been so comprehensively beaten in the CL knock-out stages?

Maria, yes, there has been at least another team so comprehensively beaten in the CL knockout stages, the one I know of was Sporting Lisbon against Bayern, the aggregate was 12-1 to Bayern, I believe it was 5-1 one game and 7-0 another. I honestly don’t remember if Sporting scored their goal when they suffered 5 or 7, but I know it was 12-1 aggregate.

I`m a Bayern-Supporter and I don`t like this kind of banter at all. Absolutely not sportsman-like and kind of cheap.
