Arsenal are giving serious consideration to renaming a stand at the Emirates Stadium in honour of departing manager Arsene Wenger.
It would appear that the West Stand has been earmarked for rechristening as a final show of gratitude to the Frenchman, who is vacating his post at the end of the season after 22 long years at the coal face.
The news was revealed by mononymous Arsenal shareholder Darren, who emitted the following snippet on Twitter…

It’s the least the Gunners could and should do, though it’s only right that the entire Emirates be renamed THE WENGERDOME® in homage to the man who built it.
As for Wenger’s successor, a few names have been chucked about of late but today’s horse is by far the most avant-garde, with reports that Zeljko Buvac, Jurgen Klopp’s assistant at Liverpool, is among the prime candidates for the job.
However, Buvac is Bosnian and the root of the story is Bosnian newpaper Pravda BL, so go ahead make of that what you will.
