The Football Snapshot: Aaron Ramsey Makes Nottingham Forest Debut

By Ollie Irish

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was praised by Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies as he made his competitive return from a broken leg, against Leicester City last night. Even though Forest lost 1-0, Ramsey showed glimpses of his ability in a 30-minute cameo.

“Once he came on, he gave us the quality that we needed. He has outstanding quality, there is no doubt about that,” Davies said of the young Welshman.

“Even in a half-fit Ramsey – it’s easy to see the quality he has got. We will keep working with him but he is still short of fitness.”

Even as a Spurs fan, I’m delighted to see Ramsey back in action. British football needs him.

He looked understandably knackered after about 20 mins, but so goddamn comfortable on the ball. I just felt sorry for him as he tried to mix amongst that muck!

Great player, got to say I am so happy he’s a Welshman! We’ve missed hime (And Collison) so badly. Its not as if we’ve got an abundence of talent either. Welcome back Rambo!
