Gender equality yet to reach Russia, clearly

“If my wife’s car drive into group of gypsies, will there be any damage to car? Very nice!”
God love Andrey Arshavin and his old-school, Borat-esque sexism. In an interview with the Daily Mail this week, the Russian refused an opportunity to at least pretend that he thinks women drivers are a good thing:

This is what the Arsh had to say:
“I would never give driving lessons to women. We need to build new roads for them. Why? Because you never know what to expect from a woman on the road.
“If you see a car behaving weirdly, swerving and doing strange things, before you see the driver you know it is a woman. It is always a woman.”

New roads for women drivers, eh. It might just work.
It’s just as well Arshavin has already managed to buy himself a wife. With that attitude, he’d never find a WAG in England.

coming from any other man such comments would have me seething with feminist rage, but I just can’t take him seriously. it’s like when 8 year old boys start shouting that girls all smell, you don’t take any notice of them, you just pat them on the head and continue on your merry way. bless.

Hahaha… Yeah strident feminists like Cheryl Cole and Danielle Lloyd simply would not stand for that sort of talk
