Wycombe Wanderers have been forced to rotate their goalkeepers for tomorrow’s FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa after first choice stopper Matt Ingram managed to get himself sent off against Morecambe last weekend.

As such, Ingram’s 20-year-old understudy Alex Lynch will start against Villa, meaning that Wycombe have had to bring their 46-year-old goalkeeping coach out of retirement to fill the youngster’s spot on the bench.

Barry Richardson last made a competitive appearance in 2008 and hasn’t started a game since 2005, when he broke his leg playing for Doncaster Rovers.

“We’ve got no one else we can put in there,” boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Sport. “That’s Wycombe, you get your chances!”
