A hard-fought 1-1 FA Cup draw away to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers leaves manager Remi Garde still yet to taste victory with Aston Villa, with the Villans’ fans’ patience all but evaporated, as exemplified by a heated discussion with captain Micah Richards.
The Villa faithful who made the journey to Adams Park made were quick to make their ill feelings clear, singing “You’re not fit to wear the shirt” in the direction of the under-performing players and “You don’t know what you’re doing” to manager Remi Garde.
The Villans’ goal-scorer on the day, Richards, was subbed off towards the end of the game, and to his credit, went over to talk to some of the disgruntled travelling fans. “We’re trying” is all the former Man City defender could say when questioned over his side’s perceived lack of passion…

Fair dues to Richards for facing the fans, but with relegation looking very very likely for Villa come May, one wonders what the future holds for both Garde and the club’s owners.
