Everton 2-2 Aston Villa – Premier League – September 10 2011

Two ginger-haired Scots tacticians went head to head at Goodison Park on Saturday, with Moyes and McCleish (surely ripe for a detective series?) watching their Everton and Villa sides share the points. The perennially under-rated Leon Osman did his best to invigorate the Arteta-less Toffees’ midfield, netting the opener, while England’s forgotten man, Gabriel Agbonlahor, eventually bagged a late equaliser. A pre-match protest against the Everton board and their Scrooge mentality would no doubt have had Moyes’ secret approval, but for how much longer will the tried and trusted coach stay?

Pies – I dont think Moyesy would approve of the protesters, in fact I think over 90% of ‘real’ evertonians are against these protests. Kenwright is doing his best to sell the club and all these morons are doing is telling him to stand down. If he does stand down we will be in 100x worse position. Dont worry fellow blues, we will be bought by the RIGHT person soon enough. But let Kenwright find the right man, we dont want another Gillet and Hicks in our city

Echoing JohnEFC the fans know the score, the club is skint and the management is not willing to pull a leeds or portsmouth to keep people happy in the short term. The club has never lied to us we know the monatary situation and we excell in spite of it with hard work and ingenuity. By the way we spent 90 minutes slaughtering villa even though they had 12 men on the pitch, Arteta’s place is already filled.
