Awwwww yeah!
Rather than a customary bottle of champagne, Dutch side NEC Nijmegen are hoping to coax better performances out of their players by rewarding each week’s “Man of the Match” with a car wash. Not just any car wash, mind – a bikini car wash. By lovely ladies. In bikinis.
Nijmegen have hired three bikini-clad blondes to provide the weekly service to their most impressive performer, with the aim being to try and improve on the club’s underwhelming 15th-place Eredivisie finish last season.
Ingenious.
Icelandic midfielder Victor Palsson became the first player to be bestowed with the award, posting the following photo on Twitter along with the message, “Thanks @NEC_Nijmegen for this MOTM prize after the game vs. Osasuna. The car has never been cleaner!”…
Or dirtier.
