Kaka publicly attacked Ancelloti for using the trident attack back in October of ’06. Milan went on to win the Champions League using the trident system. No one really cared about Kaka’s remarks.
So I find the attacks on Solo based on her comments a bit hypocritical, I guess. To be perfectly honest, if a goalkeeper doesn’t think she can save any shot by any player at any time, then the she doesn’t belong out there. So while I understand why some people were upset, I think the whole situation was a bit overblown.

My, what an interesting post…let’s take shot at a pair of the more savory pieces, shall we?
“ask any person from Britain…”–well, yes, it does seem that League football originated in dear Albion. Around 120 years ago or so, that is; ’tis possible perhaps that other authorities have arisen since then? Put more plainly: why would anyone consider definitive the collective football opinion of a nation that has done nothing on the international stage since the coronation, 1966 excepted? Britain would be the last group of people the rest of the world would consider definitive to the sport in 2007. Dreadful if that stings, but there it is.
“the whole 22 players think they are better than anyone on the team”. You think this side is what exactly, schools football? Each player on that side already thinks precisely this and is fully convinced that she is qualified to start and play, as much or more so than any current team member. The adoption of a bland-as-milk public persona doesn’t change this. Ms. Solo permitted it to peek outside the mask this time. Impolitic to be sure. But isolated? Hardly.
I find it refreshing that a player is calling to task a particularly brain-dead decision by a coach with a well-documented series of imbecilic strategy and personnel decisions trailing his rear. A pity she’s thrown her career in the rubbish bin as a result, but a welcome change in approach.

First for the writer before you write some nonsense study what is football then you can write. the best thing to do is ask any person from British since they are the inventor of the sport or the rest of the world if solo is right the first time and the second time after the game what she said about her team mate.
This is not tabloid stuff about Britney soccer is series business for the rest of the world, individualism is not the motto of the sports where 11 players play, you don’t just go and talk to the media, you need to learn to say no comment, she needs to be suspended if you let her go now next game the whole 22 players think they are better than anyone in the team.
