Just a few shots of USWNT ‘keeper Hope Solo and her short shorts, driving the pace car at the NASCAR Brickyard 400 race in Indianapolis on Sunday – y’know, just ’cause…
She may be relishing the limelight, but here in the US, where Soccer is treated like a red headed step child, I say any publicity is good publicity. Even if it is the Woman’s side. I would wager that at last year’s Brickyard 400, less than 5% of the fans of the left turn circuit could have even told you the US had just finished competing in the World Cup weeks before. Thanks to ESPN and a team with some good looking girls, the number with some Soccer knowledge has definitely increased. I know it it easy to pick on Americans for our lack of Soccer acumen, but please remember, we are a few decades behind in the sport. (My large suburban high school did not have a team when I graduated in 1979) Having American born Soccer players
in the realm of celebrity is relatively new, and maybe a sign that folks are catching on to this magnificent sport.
I love those legs!!! but yes like Marquette Jer said, it’s good to see them actually getting some attention, even though Hope describes herself as being more of a secluded person.
@Marquette Jer
good on ya! im a canuck so we got it worse. if it helps the sport grow in north america, i’d say keep on it. anything to stop twats from popping up on a Toronto FC news article and shooting off a stupid comment like “people play soccer in canada? dur hurr hurr!”.
Who Ate All the Pies is the tasty football website. It was founded in 2006. If you have any advertising enquiries, or you want to write something for us, email psoren@gmail.com
nascar is shit
she loves the limelight doesn’t she? another reason to hate the us womens team
Yet another guest appearance on American TV. SOMEBODY want’s a seat on Loose Women.
Or whatever the Yanks’ equivalent is. It’s got Whoopi Goldberg in it if I remember correctly.
Yeah, sorry Chris – I know she’s ‘ya gal’ and everything but Hope is starting to seems a bit fame-hungry, don’t you reckon?
i mean, she is really cute and does have talent (or so im told). not like that paraguayan disease-laden thing.

@Marquette Jer…. Touche
If we’re actually going to have regular updates on the activities of a female footballer, can’t we at least have an attractive one? Just saying…
