The unsightly mole on Jamelia’s back was getting out of control

Sad news from WAG Towers: Jamelia and Darren Byfield (he’s a journeyman striker who currently plays for Walsall), are to divorce after just 17 months of marriage. Boo.

A statement on behalf of the couple said:

“It is with regret that Jamelia and Darren Byfield today confirm they are splitting up and getting a divorce. No-one else is involved. Their priority is naturally their two children.”

Sorry Darren, but Jamelia was out of your league. She’s Premier League class, you’re stuck in League One. Them’s the breaks.

Someone alert Jermain Defoe…

Why is there an assumption that two professionals should only get together if they’re both equally successful – or the man is more successful – in their professions? They’re in different places in their personal lives. They’ve been together at least five years, even if they only got married 17 months ago. They’re worried about their kids. Leave em alone.

Besides, you forget that most footballers in the world are what you derisively refer to as journeymen. Rooney, Defoe, etc – those are the exception, not the rule. Journeymen footballers still make a damn good living.

There’s some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.
