By Ollie Irish
Welcome to the third edition of The Treble, Pies’ new weekly betting column, sponsored by the fine folks at Titan Bet.
How it works:
1. Pies picks three bets from the coming weekend’s matches
2. We make OUR predictions
3. YOU make your predictions
After two weeks, the league table looks like this (scoring players only listed):
Ollie (Pies) 2
Raybuck Luck 1
So Cole and I have opened up a massive lead. MASSIVE. Some of you are yet to score a single point (no names – Chris Wright, ahem). Early days though – this ‘season’ will run until the end of the 2010 World Cup. There will be prizes for the top tipsters. PRIZES!
THIS WEEK’S TREBLE (even if you didn’t take part yet, feel free to join in and I’ll add you to the league table):
1. Liverpool vs Chelsea – Match result
And so Man Utd must rely on Liverpool to do them a favour against champions elect Chelsea. Having been knocked out of Europe in midweek, Liverpool’s season is virtually over, but you know Rafa will get them up for this one and I think the Reds will do enough to earn a DRAW.
BET ON THIS
2. Sunderland vs Man Utd – Half-time/Full-time result
Steve Bruce will roll over for his old boss. He always does. MAN UTD/MAN UTD.
3. Man City vs Aston Villa – First goalscorer
Villa are strong on the counter-attack and in good form away from home. City run hot and cold at home. I’m going for GABRIEL AGBONLAHOR.
So, let’s have it…
