Is it okay to like Lee Bowyer now?

8077436

I’m not the man I used to be

Confession: I’m warming to Lee Bowyer. Don’t tell anyone though.

Is there something wrong with me? Bowyer used to be the personification of the worst kind of footballer – thuggish, mouthy, snarling etc.

But he appears to have cleaned up his act and turned into the sort of hard-working, head-down footballer every fan should want his team. Hell, I might even put him in my fantasy team – then he’d suddenly stop scoring, of course; those are the rules.

I think I need a lie down.

Nope, not okay. Although Woodgate appears to have put it behind him, bar his injuries (KARMA KARMA).

Too easy to forget his past screw ups I think http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/1701493.stm

I mean everyone deserves a second chance n all, and I suppose he’s done well to keep his head down recently, but I wouldn’t be so quick to forgive him. He’s got a long way to go yet. You just wait for when he’s off form, then we’ll see how he acts.

And the boat’s passed on having him in your Fantasy League team. I recommend Cohen. He’s on the up…

Nah, just cos he’s playing well doesn’t make him any less of a tossbag.

John Terry and his Chelsea pals did worse things as footballing youths, IMHO. Bowyer’s right – he gets remembered as the racist thug, when he was cleared of all the charges and Woodgate was found to be the guilty member.
