Gearing up for the imminent 2. Bundesliga campaign after being relegated from the top tier last season, Paderborn staged a friendly against our very own Bolton Wanderers on Monday evening, with the German side running out as 4-1 winners.
Having been released by Hertha Berlin at the end of 2014/15, Paderborn wasted no time in snapping up Marcel Ndjeng on a freebie at the beginning of July and it was the 33-year-old midfielder who well and truly stole the show in the act of scoring Paderborn’s third goal – a monstrous 50-yard volley from just inside the centre circle.
