Fergie got it wrong. This wasn’t “easy” for Chelsea, but they got the win – at this stage of the season, nothing else matters. Nicolas Anelka’s headed goal, via a Drogba cross, did the damage.

For all Bolton’s battling qualities, Chelsea deserved the win. They had four times as many shots on target – Frank Lampard hit the post – and almost 60% possession. Johan Elmander had a great chance to equalise late on but he headed tamely wide.

It’s a HUGE three points for Chelsea, who are now four points clear of Man Utd – and with superior goal difference – with just four games to play. I don’t see how Charlie Ancelotti’s boys can lose the title from here – do you?

It’s going to take a monumental cock-up for them to lose it now.
