For those of you who are unaware, St. Pauli are a 2. Bundesliga club based in Hamburg who are gaining a bit of a cultish hipster reputation with the wider world for their cool ‘skull and bones’ logo, their anti-bigwigs ‘punk’ ethos, their alternative, left-leaning, anti-hooligan, socialist supporters groups and their red light district stadium, but mostly their cool ‘skull and bones’ logo – which they will happily stick on any old tat.

We’ve already seen the St. Pauli toaster, the St. Pauli Christmas tree bauble, the St. Pauli rubber duck, the St. Pauli lunchbox and the St. Pauli plastic dog bowl being flogged among other things – but now, to really complete your St. Pauli breakfast hardware range, comes the St. Pauli Waffle Toaster – which will sear the club’s previously mentioned cool ‘skull and bones’ logo into your first chow of the day for the low, low price of $58 (plus P&P)…

What better way to make your breakfast look like Captain Pugwash’s stationery?

What really sucks about this is that back when the club was almost bankrupt they sold most of their merchandising rights to a company called Upsolut. Now they’re stuck with the contract and they only get 10% of the money made from selling the merchandise.

True word Anna. Besides that, and to kick Annas ball a little further, you’re even supporting the weapon- or defence industry.
Upsolut is part of Groupe Lagadère. Wow, that’s not very Punk at all…

  3. XYZZZ says:

Nothing hipster about them, you fag!
