Shakhtar’s Luiz Adriano Ignores Fair Play, Scores Like A Douchebag vs Nordsjaelland (Video)
By Chris Wright
With play having been restarted with an uncontested drop-ball after the referee blew up for an off-the-ball incident, in a time-honoured ‘fair play’ gesture Shakhtar’s Willian simply humped the ball back over the top and through to the Nordsjaelland keeper to get things underway again.
Only for Luiz Adriano to go and ruin it by acting like a complete jackass…
After the game, Luiz Adriano confessed that he spat in the face of fair play protocol because he ‘had a natural instinct to score’.
It’s a wonder none of the Nordsjaelland defence didn’t suddenly have a ‘natural instinct’ to punch him in the face.
What a little git.

You’re a dick.
Brilliant, the Nordsjaelland player went down obviously trying to get the Shaktar player booked, completely uncalled for (he’s touching face when he’s on the floor?!). Shaktar did the right thing by scoring.
hjksf, I completely agree, Adriano’s crime was nowhere near as bad.
good for him, the danes cheated to try and break up play/get a player booked.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. What Adriano (not the entire Shaktar side) did was mindless and unsporting.
Whatever you may think about the moment right before is completely irrelevant. You can’t pick and choose when what custom should be upheld because you feel like it. The club apologised for it anyway, so what basis do you have to say it’s right?
How can anyone think this is right???
The ball was in Nordsjaelland’s possession when the game was stopped, and starting an attack (so “break up play” is shit excuse) and there seems to be an elbow to the chest of the Nordsjaelland player who fell (and he was running).
Lucescu even apologized in the end for this behavior and said he asked his players to let Nordsjaelland score after this.
Shaktar is already qualified so I hope they are eliminated in the next round with a play like this (or Adriano gets injured).
You rightly criticize Adriano for his unsporting conduct, then hope he gets injured?
Yes, it’s stupid, I know, I don’t like to wish injuries on players, but the one thing I dislike above all in football is dirty play. And what he did is the utmost shitty behavior (I admire Nords players’ calm, I’ve seen matches turn violent for far less)
Serves Nordsjælland right for not having a player at the drop.
