Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Group G - Barcelona v Ajax Amsterdam - Camp Nou

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo must be some sort of footballing aliens, as they so far ahead of every other footballer on the planet. After Ronaldo’s superb hat-trick against Galatasray last night, Lionel Messi decided to get in on the act against Ajax at the Nou Camp on Wednesday evening, netting three of his own in Barca’s 4-0 victory. Outstanding.

    Ronaldo vs Messi playing FIFA.

    Who would win?

    Do they even play FIFA?

    Is my comment even relevant?

    No.

But I thought I’d put it out there.

Messi has now scored more hat-tricks in the Champions League than any other player (4, against Inzaghi and Müller’s 3 a piece).

Not to mention the fact that at only 26, he is 9(?) goals shy of Raúl’s current record of 71, which he achieved at 33.

For all his class, Neymar must be in absolute awe of Messi and Ronaldo.

Here is a top tip as well: after nearly a dozen competitive games this season (including internationals), Messi seems to have picked his “shot” for the season. Last season, it was the cheeky dink over the goalkeeper. This season, it seems to be side-footed passes into the bottom corner.
