Schalke made it through to the knock-out stages of the Champions League win courtesy of a 2-0 win over Basel last night, with centre-half Joel Matip scoring the second goal of the evening when the German’s somehow managed to ‘spring’ the Swiss side’s offside trap, despite having at least five players offside by a yard or more at the point the freekick was slung into the area…


Ecky thump, the linesman’s had a shocker there – and it looks even worse in super slow-motion…

Let’s leave it to Arrigo Sacchi’s intensely-drilled AC Milan side to show the Johnny-Come-Latelys how it’s done properly…

    Apparently inactive players were decisive in the early days, or else the referee was on the wrong end a lot in the Sacchi video
