Not even this kind of action was enough to stop Dong Lu nodding off

A Chinese football commentator is currently in the process of looking for a new job after falling asleep during Wednesday’s night Champions League tie between Real Madrid and PSG.

Dong Lu, who is – or, more accurately, was – employed by LeTV, could be heard snoring after he nodded off during the last 20 minutes of the match.

Nacho had put Real Madrid 1-0 after half and hour, but the match somewhat fizzled from thereon out – and it was Lu, using the sum total of his 20 years of punditry expertise, who delivered the most damning assessment of the night’s entertainment imaginable.

The Daily Mail have the damning footage…

In Lu’s defence, however, the 46-year-old had been forced to stay up until 3:45am Beijing time to commentate live on the match for his Chinese audience.

Regardless, LeTV didn’t take too kindly to their man falling asleep on the job and promptly sacked him right after the game.

You snooze, you lose (your gainful employment).
