Luis Suarez was the match-winner at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night, with the Uruguayan hitman bagging a brace for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid in their Champions League quarter-final first leg clash. However, the ex-Liverpool man was lucky to be on the pitch to score those vital goals after kicking out at defender Juanfran.

Another former Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres, had given Atletico the lead on 25 minutes. However, just 10 minutes later, the Spaniard saw red after picking up two yellows for a couple of silly challenges. Suarez was then lucky not to follow Torres down the tunnel, after this silly incident…

Suarez somehow escaped punishment before going on to score two goals and give Barca a slim first-leg advantage. However, Diego Simone and co. will no doubt be confident of turning the tie around at the Vicente Calderon next week, even if they’ll have to do without the suspended Torres.
