Barcelona v Inter – Impossible To Predict?

By Ollie Irish

After last night’s damp squib you know tonight will be awesome, whatever happens. How can it not be? Mourinho, Guardiola, Messi, Xavi, Zlatan, Sneijder (set to start despite injury doubts), Eto’o etc etc. And that’s just the attacking talent. I can’t wait.

Tonight’s second leg couldn’t be more finely balanced. Barca has the bonus of an away goal, but Mourinho’s teams seldom give away free prizes at the back – Lucio and Samuel will make sure of that.

The key for Barca is to attack attack attack and hope Inter crumbles in front of a wildly partisan crowd. The reigning Euro champs hammered at Inter’s defensive gates relentlessly in the last 15 minutes at the San Siro. Now, in their own house, they must find a way to deliver the knockout blow. I predict they will come close, but Inter will survive, just.

Prediction: Barcelona 2-1 Inter (Inter to win 4-3 on aggregate)

Who you think will reach the final?

Tighter than Sol’s shorts … hilarious.

Barca to win, Inter to progress.

If there’s one manager that can spoil the party, it’s Mourinho. So it’s got to be Inter I’m afraid.

I haven’t been so excited about a football match for some time.

    Barca 3 – 2 Inter.
