Celtic found themselves on the end of a right thrashing in Paris on Wednesday day, with the Bhoys losing 7-1 against a rampant PSG side.

Celtic had got off to the perfect start, with PSG youth product Moussa Dembele scoring on 56 seconds.

However, the hosts were level soon after, with Neymar scoring on nine minutes.

The Brazilian then put PSG ahead after a superb passing move from the Ligue 1 giants.

Edinson Cavani then netted his 150th goal for the Parisians after being set up by Neymar.

Celtic were no match for PSG’s potent attack and went 4-1 down before the break, with Kylian Mbappe getting in on the act.

After the break, the onslaught continued, with Marco Veratti, Cavani again with a fine volley and then Dani Alves all scoring within a five-minute goal spurt late on.

The game would end with Celtic on the end of a seven-goal defeat for the only the second time in their European history.

As for PSG, their haul of 24 goals is the most ever by a team in a Champions League group stage.

The question now is can Unai Emery’s side go all the way this season?

Despite the crushing defeat, Brendan Rodgers and co. can still qualify for the Europa League, despite their haul of just three points from five games.
