Roma enjoyed a big win over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League on Tuesday night, pummelling their Czech opponents to the tune of 5-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Edin Dzeko helped himself to a hat-trick but, sandwiched betwixt and between, was a rather momentous goal for young Justin Kluivert – his first for the Giallorossi since joining from Ajax back in June.
The 19-year-old also became Roma’s youngest ever Champions League goalscorer as a result.

However, instead of making it all about him, Kluivert instead used the moment to show his continuing support for one of his old muckers: Abdelhak ‘Appie’ Nouri, who spent 13 months in a coma after collapsing during an Ajax match.

As you’re probably aware, 21-year-old Nouri is still in hospital though he is now breathing without the aid of a life-support machine, with his brother Abderrahim confirming in August that the midfielder’s neurological condition is very gradually improving.
It goes without saying that we’re all rooting for him.
