The draw for the Champions League round of 16 has been completed and, good golly, the Premier League has been squarely pitted against the Bundesliga in the knockouts.
First out of the bowl was Man City, who will take on Schalke.
Tottenham’s reward for fighting back from the brink of elimination is a last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund, while Liverpool face a daunting double-legger against Jurgen Klopp’s old foes Bayern Munich.
Manchester United managed to avoid German opponents only to land a toughie against PSG.
The UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw in full…
Schalke vs Man City
Atletico Madrid vs Juventus
Manchester United vs PSG
Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund
Lyon vs Barcelona
Roma vs Porto
Ajax vs Real Madrid
Liverpool vs Bayern Munich
The first legs will be played on 12th/13th and 19th/20th of February, while the second legs will follow on 5th/6th and 12th/13th March.
Of the Premier League quartet, we’d only really back City as definite favourites to go through, with the other three probably requiring shocks of varying proportions to squeeze into the quarters.
Any predictions, Pies fans?
