Horror Tackles: Victor Valdes Does A Harald Schumacher On Copenhagen Forward (Video)

By Ollie Irish

Deserving of a straight red card, clearly, but Valdes somehow got away with a mere yellow card. That’s Barcelona for ya. Football royalty getting preferential treatment from officials? Check.

    this is horrible to witness
imagine if that was on van persie – he would be out for years

  2. Fellaini's Fro says:

Disgraceful. Not exactly been a good month for Barca keepers, maybe vicky should of tried to whistle the play dead before trying to pull off some sweet chin music

  3. Jon says:

How did he manage to jump that high?

  4. Mr. Angry says:

fuckin asshole! valdes should be sacked from football!

  5. Tom Jones says:

That should have been a red for a variety of reasons.

  6. JS. says:

Barca players getting away with all kinds of crap? Gee, where are the news?

  7. Rob says:

An outfield player who have been given a red but keepers get away with so much.

  8. sasha says:

there was no free kick there, i think i missed yellow card too.

  9. QueerAsFuß says:

Footballers- stop trying to kill each other. There are enough bad tattoos, averagely attractive hookers and bad haircuts for everyone!

Damn that is some jump though. Like Big Ben or Gold Fever quality.
And I can understand why refs are reluctant to pull red on the keeper but the rules are the rules. There is often that ‘warning for what clearly should have been a second yellow when the game is tight’ syndrome that happens as well. I get it, and I feel for the refs in those positions but they are there to do a job. A thankless job that I’m guessing means a lot of replaced windshields and flaming poo bags on the doorstep but a job none the less. So do it.
(But I would be scared of Barcelona fans too)

  10. S-League Player says:

Dangerous? Yes. But got the ball didn’t he?

  11. [...] did anyone else see this challenge, fuck me its awful, brings back bad memories of schumacher and battiston… time for keepers to get sent off for this sort of thing… just a yellow card, your are having a laugh… http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/champ…ard-video.html [...]
