Barcelona 3-1 Man Utd: Barca Are The Chaaaaaaaampions!

By Chris Wright

I’m loathe to blow too much smoke up Barcelona’s arselona (we’ve got Clive ‘Majestic!’ Tyldesley to do that for us), but that was a brilliant performance.

United were just about on top for the first and last ten minutes but the 70 in between belonged solely to Barca, who blew their bewildered opponents away with the kind of spanking that you’d have to pay good money for in a Berlin S&M dungeon…

We’ll have more reaction in good time, but for the time being we’ll leave you with a friendly nudge towards our colossal compendium of photos from tonight’s final.

Goot match, but it can’t compare to Istanbul 05.

  2. DJ says:

So one sided it was unbelievable.

  3. Ping Yang says:

Manchester United were fuckin’ owned. Everywhere. Barca are just amazing, but what did ManU expect putting 37 year old Giggs and Carrick? against Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets. Rooney is amazing but he isn’t that good to drag ManU out of trouble this time

  4. NP says:

    Special one tv. RIP.

  5. 12345 says:

It was very unsportsmanlike like of Barca to start the game before United had turned up

  6. Truth says:

B-But what will the bitter Barca haters complain about? Where were the ‘foreign cheats’, endless diving and play acting? Where was the boring passes along the back 3 and goalkeeper? Where was the red card that only Barca would get for them because they paid off UEFA?

Where was the superior English game? The quick exciting counter attacks? The ever-effective long ball to the front man?

  7. Andy Gray says:

Winning La Liga and the Champions League is all well and good, but could they do it on a wet Wednesday night in Stoke?

  8. victor says:

i am happy for barca being second time winner i appreciate their effort thanks so much.

    @ Andy Gray

Yes, Barca would hit double figures. If Carrick and Giggs can’t handle it, it seems unlikely that the dynamic duo of Delap and Whelan would have more success.

  10. Tinez says:

    @ youreds

i wouldn’t give carrick and giggs that much credit
