Charlton’s Johnnie Jackson Promises Fans Ticket Reimbursement After 5-0 Away Battering By Huddersfield

Following Charlton’s 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday night, the Championship strugglers have vowed to reimburse the Addicks’ faithful who made the long and ultimately fruitless trip to Yorkshire on a damp January evening.

Fair play to Jackson for his brutal honesty and for the offer to the fans. However, surely losing is just as part of being a fan as winning and the blow of a heavy defeat shouldn’t need to be softened by any kind of gesture by the club? Not that I wouldn’t take the money if I was one of those forlorn travelling Addicks fans, mind.
