As bizarre as it may sound, it would appear that Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp has struck up a genuine friendship with ex-WWE wrestler Mick Foley.
It all began when Sharp performed a ‘Mr Socko’ goal celebration after scoring against Norwich last month, which caught Foley’s eye on Twitter – what with it being his signature finishing move and all.
This led to the pair exchanging pleasantries ending in Foley cordially accepting an invite from Sharp to attend an upcoming Blades match as his guest.
Oh, this is TREMENDOUS! Thank you @billysharp10 & @SoccerAM https://t.co/fSEhpm68IJ

The plan was hatched for Foley to fly in and make the trip to Bramall Lane to watch United take on Brentford in the Championship on Tuesday evening.
And so, by some quirk of fate, the morning of the match began with *the* Mick Foley enjoying breakfast in *the* Billy Sharp’s kitchen…
Big mick @RealMickFoley is in the house, in my house to be exact. It’s a bit surreal to have breakfast with a true wrestling legend. pic.twitter.com/p3Z0IEhHQU

Like the man says: just a tad surreal – a bit like Mick’s t-shirt!
