Photos: Chelsea 2-1 Portsmouth – Frank Lampard to the rescue

Mini match report: Unconvincing win by Chelsea, but at least it ends their slightly concerning run of four games without a win. Nicolas Anelka opened the scoring after good work down the right by Alex – who I still think is Chelsea’s best centre-back – before Fred Piquionne lashed home from close range just after half time. But when Marc Wilson ploughed into Branislav Ivanovic inside the penalty area, Frank Lampard stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

My dear old Pompey. Anyone fancy chipping in to buy a soon to be ex-Premiership club?
