One imagines Roman Abramovich was standing outside the Atletico Madrid dressing room at half-time with his cheque-book open, after he witnessed a magnificent first-half hat-trick from Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao.

‘El Tigre’ tore Chelsea apart in an outstaning first-half performance, netting three superb goals as the Blues defence fell apart.

After the break, Roberto Di Matteo’s side battled to get back into the game, but a fourth goal from the delightfully named Miranda on the hour-mark killed the game.

Gary Cahill did snatch a consolation goal for the Londoners, but overall they were totally outplayed.

Robery Di Matteo has a lot to ponder while Falcao has put another 10 or so million onto his price tag.

That was an absolutely dreadful performance. Shocking. I don’t feel too bad about the lost because it was quite obvious that the players didn’t seem to give a shit. I just feel bad for the Chelsea fans who paid good money to watch them live. Apart from the travel expenses and stadium tickets, the accommodations must have been pricey (Monte Carlo!!) I’m just waiting for Chelsea to officially release a statement apologizing to the fans on the back of that performance. Apart from Cech, Cole and Hazard, everyone from the starting eleven should be dropped for the next Premier League match. It was that shitty.

But I thought the Premier League was the best in the world while La Liga was only a 2 horse race while the rest of the league is crap?

If it weren’t for the woodwork and Cahill’s shit goal it would have been 8-0 and they deserved it

what a beast…surely another 30+ goals this season. if messi and ronaldo were born in some other era he may have been considered today’s numero uno.

the ironing was delicious when roberto di matteo was talking about atletico defending and hitting them on the break after the match whilst looking none too happy abooot it. he can empathise with guardiola now

Glorious player, was one of the top 3 proper strikers in the world last season with RVP and Zlatan.
