Newcastle United 3-2 Chelsea – Premier League – 2nd February 2013

New-boy Moussa Sissoko was the star of the show at St. James’ Park on Saturday, as the French midfielder bagged a brace to help the Magpies come from behind and beat Chelsea 3-2.

Jonas Gutierrez had headed the home side ahead on 41 minutes before ex-Magpie Demba Ba was forced to go off after receiving a kick in the face from Fabricio Coloccini.

However, Rafa Benitez’s Blues came out all guns blazing after the break, with Frank Lampard (with a superb strike) and then Juan Mata (with a lovely curler) putting the Londoners in the driving seat.

But the impressive Sissoko kept working hard and was eventually rewarded with goal on 68 minutes before the ex-Toulouse man popped up again at the death, to smash home a dramatic winner and break Chelsea hearts.

The superb victory sees the Magpies move to 15th spot while Chelsea remain in third place but are now just four points clear of Tottenham (who have played a game less) and Everton.

Will Rafa last ’til the end of the season at Stamford Bridge?
