Photos: Everton 2-1 Chelsea – Louis Saha Owns John Terry

By Ollie Irish

John Terry had a bit of a shocker, making several blatant mistakes, two of which led to Louis Saha’s goals. You can’t really blame Terry for not keeping his eye on the ball (metaphorically and literally), but I suppose he’s allowed the odd bad game, as he’s been immense for most of this season.

Saha was a real threat all night, though his saved penalty was a reminder than he’s a better player when he doesn’t have to think too much about what he’s doing. Props too to Landon Donovan, who had another fine match – the American’s corner led to Saha’s equaliser, then he tricked Ricardo Carvalho, leading to the penalty. Moyesy will be sad to see the back of him.

Very good to see Mikel Arteta back in action too. The Spaniard had a relatively quiet game, until being replaced by Jack Rodwell midway through the second half, and will need a few more games to recover his match-fitness.

  1. The Big Mac says:

Team Terry / Team Bridge shirts are tacky as fuck. Chelsea may have the money but clearly the fans have no class. Piss off.

  2. Dave says:

Is right Big Mac. Good call.

  3. Nutmeg says:

Heitinga is the perfect Everton player…just perfect. Passion, industry and grit.
